Mighty Redmen,
Congratulations on another gallant, take no
prisoners performance on Saturday against Beecroft. 2 huge wins by the
Juddernaughts (52-0) and the Donnie Burke’s (50-3) set the platform for another
memorable day at Ryde International. The Nuts and Bolts remain undefeated at
the top of the table, 3rd grade had a tough win (even when the
ref tried to give the game to Beecroft 3 times during injury time) and 1st grade
confidently knocked off the 3rd ranked team in Kentwell. We
currently sit in 3rd place on CC points just a bee’s dick
behind the Dirty Reds. Well done lads!
This week we are up against competition
leaders in almost every grade and last years premiers – the poodle walking
Tristian’s and Sebastian’s of Woollahra Colleagues. No surprises here lads –
they’ll be tough, structured and disciplined. Our club is strong, and this is
the ultimate test. This is where seasons are made. This sherbets wear the
bridesmaid’s blue, and for that they will always be second best. Let’s ensure
they remember that when they look to the score board at full time this weekend.
Now please be advised there have been a few
changes. We are
now playing at Ryde this weekend which more importantly means the annual Skivvy Crawl has been
postponed to
Round 18 (1st September 2012). There are no excuses for not
having the most ridiculous skivvy attire for this evening – I’m giving you 10
weeks to sort your sh!t out. I want op shops around Sydney pilfered.
There will be blood unless I see colours of lavender, pink and washed out
orange, cardigans and linens, boot shoes with Capri’s and 5 x popped collars.
You have been warned.

A few more points:
- There will be no (formal) training this Wednesday due to State of Origin. Get in contact with your coaches. Hit the pavement tonight and shake some of those long weekend beers, kebabs and fast food breakfasts (yes, all plural). Get there early on Saturday and let’s show these fcukers who are the champions of 2012.
- If you haven’t already done so, transfer $49 per ticket for the Wallabies vs Wales game to OIRFC, while you’re there, pay your subs before we start selling your identity to India.
- There will be Redmen loose on the town for the State of Origin tomorrow night – feel free to get involved. Check the Facebook page for more information.
- Lastly, if anyone has any questions regarding the above – or would like a play by play of my scintillating chip and chase try from Saturday, give me a call. I’m only too happy to divulge.
