Redmen,
Firstly, I want to say a big congratulations on your efforts on Sat….both on and off the field. Great rugby by every team, followed by a pub crawl in Balmain – what could be better! All grades played well despite injuries and resulting numbers shortages. I especially want to thank the Colts that backed up to play in grade sides; it doesn’t go unnoticed, especially when you play so well.
Obviously we’re now into the second round, at this stage of the first round weather caused some disruptions to both training and games, forcing us to play Baker boys on the long weekend. Our next two rounds are very winnable across the grades, to do so, would give us a much need buffer on club championship points and more importantly provide the opportunity to really have some fun on the field.
The feedback we’ve had from the new training format has been positive; starting on time at 6-45 with well structured and varied club drills, followed by team runs; short, sharp, hard and fun! Let’s enjoy the next few weeks by getting to training (stick around for beer and a cheap steak after), play some hard rugby and smash some old foe.
Don’t forget LADIES DAY & GALA DAY will be on 16th July (against Mosman) - bring a date and her mate!
Congratulations again, let’s take it home from here with a wet sail.
